During May, all of our primary and secondary students had the chance to attend an overnight camp run by the amazing team from The Great Lombok Trail.
Grades 1 and 2 based their camp at Kuta Heights Development. The views on the hill at Kuta Heights were incredible. The trip started with a 2 hour long bushwalk on the Kuta Green Trail where they experienced one of South Lombok’s most beautiful forest trails. The students set up their own tents, making sure to zip them up tight to stop the monkeys stealing their belongings!
For some of the students, this was the first time staying overnight away from their parents. They enjoyed learning how to set up their own tents, looking for kindling to start the campfire and toasting marshmallows.
The next morning students were up early to see the gorgeous sunrise over Kuta. They had a busy morning of fun activities and packing up the campsite. By the time the students returned back to school, they were very tired from the exciting adventure but had many great memories.
