Welcome to MIS - PRIMARY
CREATIVITY, ACTIVITY AND SERVICE
At Mandalika Intercultural School, we offer a Primary program which aims to meet the needs of our diverse student cohort in an engaging and holistic way. Our curriculum is based on the Australian Curriculum (ACARA) and subjects offered include English, Mathematics, Science and STEAM, Wellbeing/ Health/ Physical Education, Arts (Music, Dance and Visual Art) and our second language is Bahasa Indonesian. We also provide experiences in CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) and Indonesian cultural activities. Guest speakers and field trips to local areas and communities in Lombok are organised regularly to provide deeper learning experiences about topics learned in the classroom. We try to extend the learning beyond the classroom walls where possible. Each student is placed on an ILP (Individualised Learning Plan) which helps students achieve measurable academic and/ or social goals during their time at Mandalika Intercultural School.
AUSTRALIAN CURRICULUM (ACARA)
The Australian education system is considered one of the best education systems in the world, for both domestic and international students. It enjoys high standards, a comprehensive curriculum and is less prescriptive with content so that teachers can customise to meet the interests and needs of their students in the local context in which they live, without compromising academic rigor.
CAS
CREATIVITY, ACTION, SERVICE
CAS enables students to enhance their personal and interpersonal development by learning through experience. It provides opportunities for self-determination and collaboration with others, fostering a sense of accomplishment and enjoyment from their work.
HOLISTIC APPROACH
Students at MIS are set high academic standards, complemented by opportunities to blossom into community actors, experience entrepreneurial planning, and engage in a host of clubs from skateboarding, guitar club to circus training.
